Big Sister

The other day I left Cami in charge of watching Austin while I ran upstairs to do something real quick. When I came back down I saw that Cami had taken it upon herself to change Austin's diaper. She had pulled off his pants and unvelcroed his diaper, at which point he'd gotten bored and rolled over onto his stomach. I walked in and Cami walked up to me, pointed at Austin and said 'poop.' Great.

I went over to Austin and thankfully he hadn't pooped. Also fortunately, or not so fortunately, for me, I had just changed Austin's diaper myself, so there was no mess on the carpet, just a lot of baby powder. Cami loves being a big sister, but sometimes I just wish she wouldn't be quite so helpful.

Cami's birthday

We actually celebrated Cami's birthday a week before she turned two, so her actual birthday was rather anti-climactic, thankfully, she's still young enough not to know or care yet. The reason we celebrated early was because Sterling's dad was in town for Austin's baby blessing (which I never posted about), and we thought it would be fun to have all four grandparents around. Unfortunately, with it being such short notice, that meant that Preston and Alisha (Sterling's brother and his wife) weren't able to get work off on time. Sorry. Their daughter, Cami's cousin, was able to come though.

Her party was pretty much a repeat of last years, except that this year I made her cake, which is why it looks so horrible. Just like last year, we had her party up at Zermatt, in Midway. Quite a bit of family was able to be there, so we had a great time. We had balloons, which Sterling and Ryan seemed to enjoy more than anyone.

We all had a great day. Cami probably won't remember much about her birthday this year, so I'm off the hook for not planning something super fun. Next year maybe.
